1st Annual Swine and Wine food and wine pairing is open to the public on Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Food, wine, live music, Wine Country views, and a Russian River Vineyards souvenir wine glass included.
Special menu prepared by Chef Todd of Corks Restaurant:
1. "Tex Mex Fajita Bar." Marinated and grilled carnitas with grilled peppers and onions, housemade chunky guacamole, pico de gallo, black beans and rice.
Paired with '09 Sauvignon Blanc
2. "BBQ Sliders 'n More." Tender pulled pork nestled in brioche rolls, served with housemade coleslaw, root veggie chips, and seasonal fresh fruit.
Paired with '09 "Chester" Zinfandel
3. "An Italian Feast." Classic Italian porchetta with pinot jus. Hearts of Romaine Caesar, warm "smashed" potatoes with RRV bacon, grilled garden veggies with balsamic.
Paired with '09 "Bella Sonoma" Pinot Noir
4. "Sweet Endings." Corks' famous chocolate bread pudding with Fosters sauce.
Paired with '09 Botrytis Chardonnay
