Info Post
The world premiere of director Dave Boyle’s film White on Rice will be hosted by Iyemon Cha Japanese Green Tea (www.IyemonChaEvents.com) at this year’s San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival. Boyle’s second feature, White on Rice is a comedy about a Japanese immigrant family coming to terms with romance, parenting and middle age as they adjust to American culture.
The public is invited to meet the director and cast at an exclusive pre-screening reception where complimentary appetizers will be perfectly paired with Iyemon Cha Original and Roasted Green Tea. Iyemon Cha recently made its U.S. debut in San Francisco, sharing the timeless Japanese tradition of green tea and bringing contemporary Japanese culture to American audiences.
The cast of White on Rice includes Hiroshi Watanabe (Clint Eastwood’s Letters from Iwo Jima); James Kyson Lee, best known for his role as Ando on the hit NBC series Heroes; and Japanese pop singer, Nae (Letters from Iwo Jima). Iyemon Cha is the world’s only bottled green tea made at the historic Fukujuen tea house in Kyoto, Japan. Iyemon Cha is made from 100% USDA-approved organic tea leaves and is available in two varieties: Original and Roasted. Iyemon Cha is sold at fine dining establishments and gourmet retailers throughout the Bay Area.
